For 2011, the Toyota Avalons previous three trim levelsXL, XLS, and Limitedhave been culled to just V6 and V6 Limited. As a result, an entry-level Avalon now costs the same as an outgoing XLS model.
The Avalon now starts at $32,995, equal to the 2010 mid-range model. (For 2010, the base Avalon model cost $28,695.) The 2011 Limited starts at $36,235, a small increase from the $36,035 commanded by the outgoing Limited trim.
The Avalon V6 is pretty well equipped, with 17-inch alloy wheels, power front seats with leather all around, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, and more. Stepping up to the V6 Limited adds a keyless ignition system, heated and cooled front seats, aluminum door-sill plates, rain-sensing wipers, HID headlights, and a 660-watt sound system upgrade. Both models come with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
