Senner Tuning Bumps the Audi RS5�s Output to 506HP

With the Audi RS5, Senner Tuning took all the usual steps: some exterior appointments, upgraded suspension and of course, more power. Starting with the engine modifications, the 4.2-liter direct-injected V8�s output was boosted to 506 hp (+56 ponies) and 478 Nm or (353 lb-ft (+48Nm or 36 lb-ft), by letting it �breathe� more efficiently through a new, valve-controlled stainless steel exhaust system. Thanks to these changes, the modified RS5 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, or almost half a second faster than the stock model.

Video: Audi Quattro Concept Meets up with 1984 Quattro Coupe

At this year's Paris Auto Show in October, Audi celebrated the original 1980s Quattro's 30th anniversary by unveiling the Quattro Concept. Soon after, rumors started flowing around that Audi plans to develop a production version of the sports car, which is loosely based on the RS5 Coupe's architecture using a modified version of the RS3 Sportback / TT RS' 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five with 408 ponies.

Even though we've yet receive any official confirmation on the production model, the German automaker continues to release new material on the Quattro concept. This time, the Ingolstadt firm has published a new promotional film showcasing the design study as well as its spiritual predecessor, the 1984 Quattro Coupe. Watch the video right after the break.

Report: Audi Working on a Production Version of the Quattro Coupe Study

If you thought we'd had enough of 'malignant rumors' with our last article reporting that Jaguar was seriously considering putting the C-X75 hypercar into limited production, you were wrong.

British magazine Autocar reports that a team of engineers at Audi's Ingolstadt headquarters are advancing plans to put the Quattro Concept from the 2010 Paris Motor Show into limited production. If approved, this would see the nouvea-Quattro being built in limited numbers at ItalDesign's plant near Milan.

Audi Unveils Quattro Concept to Celebrate its Original Rally Monster's 30th Birthday

Audi has finally revealed its 'quattro concept' in Paris to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original car's 1980 debut. The new quattro, much like the original, gets driven around the rally stages of your dreams by a turbocharged 5-cylinder.

In this case, though, the 2.5-liter unit makes 408-horsepower / 300 kW and uses a 6-speed manual transmission to drive all four 20-inch wheels with 480 Nm / 354 lb-ft. Behind the center-locking dubs are carbon-ceramic discs wearing 6-piston grippers.

With its high-output 5-pot and diet, the new quattro is said to be able to spring to 100 km/h / 62 mph in a scant 3.9 seconds and return a fuel economy of 8.5 liters/100 km (27.67 mpg US).

MTM Massages the Audi RS5, Top Speed Increased to 303km/h (188mph)

In one of its more 'lighter' tuning proposals, MTM has released details on its new line of performance upgrades for the Audi RS5 coupe. Instead of fiddling around with the RS5's 450HP V8 engine to increase the car's top speed, the German tuning simply reprograms the factory electronic speed limiter of 250km/h or 280 km/h, allowing the coupe to reach a maximum velocity of 303 km/h or 188mph. The cost for the removal of the speed limiter is a hefty �1,499 or a little over US$1,900 at today's exchange rates.

APS Sportec Builds 425HP Audi S5, as fast as RS5 in 0-62mph sprint

Last time we checked (as in a few minutes ago on the UK, US and German sites), the S5 Coupe continues to use Audi's venerable 4.2-liter V8 with 354HP, while the S5 Convertible comes with a 333HP 3.0-liter supercharged V6. MTM Tunes Into the New Audi RS5 Coupe with Some Light Upgrades

The tuning specialists over at MTM have launched a new line of upgrades for the recently confirmed for the U.S. market, Audi RS5 Coupe. MTM is still holding out on the power front, but the tuner has released new software for the factory speed limiter that allows the RS5 Coupe to reach a more attention-grabbing top speed of 303km/h or 188mph. This will cost an equally attention-grabbing �1,499 plus �125 for fitting.

Audi Confirms RS5 Coupe for U.S. in 2012, Announces Pricing on 2011 R8 V10 Spyder

First the good news; Audi has confirmed that the new RS5 Coupe is coming to America. Now for the bad; it's going to take another year and half or so for Ingolstadt's sports car to make it on this side of the Atlantic. Audi said details on equipment levels, pricing and fuel economy standards will be released at a later date.
